SUMMON MATERIA

This is probably the coolest and most useful materia around. You get to summon stuff! Yet this is typical of all Final Fantasys: you need to have the area where you summon mytical creatures from nowhere who look awesome. FF7 was the first Final Fantasy to acutally utilize 3D/CG summon sequences of the creatures that you summon, and some, I have to admit, look pretty awesome.

Although this is away from the subject of summons, my absolute favorites from this series are: Neo Bahamut, Bahamut Zero, Tupon (Typoon), Odin, and the Knights of the Round ^^. The number of times you can summon depends on the level of your materia (like if Leviathan was at level 2, then you can cast it twice, etc.)

The major drawback for summon materia is that it takes HP away from your character who equips it and they cost a lot of MP. The way to counteract this, though is to equip some HP and MP plusses. All the summons are really cool, but it'll take hell for you to get the Master Summon Huge Materia *facefault*

Hah, if you have the time to, then go on ahead and try to master all the Summon Materia....

There are two types of this summon. The most common one is called "Deathblow" and basically a Chocobo, with a mog riding on its back, rams into all enemies. The chocobo picks up the dizzy mog from the ground before disappearing. It sometimes causes stop. The second type is called "Fat Chocobo" where this really, REALLY fat chocobo comes falling from the sky and pancakes your enemies ^^.

Tera Flare ~ The third and final form of Bahamut, it flies in space around the earth before homing in and sending its nuclear blast down to your enemies. It's always constant in attacking (6000 - 8000 HP) damage. My absolute fav ^^.

Disintegration ~ Typoon is on weird summon ^^, but I like it. It has one body, but two heads on the opposite sides. The first side flips the world upside down. The second side turns around and calls upon a tornado and sends the enemy crashing back down to normal ground again. Your last set of elemental summons ^^.
Knights of the Round 250 MP; get a Cheese Chocobo (aka Sea Chocobo) and then travel all the way to the corner of the map to Round Island

Ultimate End ~ Ultimate End is quite right. The thirteen Knights of the Round Table come up, sending your enemies to oblivion, ending with Excalibur. Barely anything can survive this spell, except, perhaps Emerald and Ruby ^^. Hey, the chocobo breeding is worth it, I tell you!
